I started this blog (on another platform) in 2007, originally as a new medium of self promotion, and as a sort of portfolio of recent work. Eventually I realized that I could ‘back date’ entries, and then the blog morphed into a sort of Historical Record of my Freelance Career once I started adding the previous two decades (and beyond) to the growing ‘present day’ chronicle.

In 2014, I moved the original blog from its first home on ‘Blogger’ here to be fully integrated into my official website, and it eventually took me four years to completely move all the files here.

Now that everything is here, I am realizing a need for a simple way to navigate among the thirty years worth of samples and blog entries, so I’ve compiled a series of links on this page to make searching and finding particular posts a little easer on the reader.

Every year I compile a selection of what I consider my strongest illustrations of the year and do a Year In Review post.

Non-commissioned artwork, doodles and whatnots fall under the Personal heading. From time to time over the past three decades, I have ‘gone back to school’ to take my favorite class over again, Life Drawing. Drawings from these courses can be found under Figure Studies.

For over a decade, I did a Oscar Poster for my brother’s Academy Award Parties in Chicago. They can be found in these posts, or under the portfolio pull down menu.

Since around 1998, I’ve taken a renewed interest in making Music as a secondary (non paying or barely paying) career. You can also read about my band, the Jukejoint Handmedowns who have been around since 2010.

From time to time I have also dabbled in Animation.
