I did my first ‘Krampus’ postcard in 2010, as a self promo piece that was sent out at the holiday season, and over the next several years I’ve returned to this subject several times as a Christmas mailer. For those unfamiliar with the story of this fascinating German/Hungarian Christmas character, there used to be a wonderful site that helped explain this dark companion to Santa Claus (along with a huge library of vintage images), but it has disappeared from the internet, so we are stuck with this Wikipedia Entry. Below are the past Krampus postcards that I have created, and which are available adorning various bits of merchandise at my Zazzle store.
