ABA illustration

Uncategorized

Finished up a long horizontal illustration yesterday and this morning for the American Bar Association’s ‘Litigation’ magazine. The ABA has been a client since the late 90s, and I always enjoy the challenges they throw my way. I ended up doing the line work on the iPad with Procreate (in three different layers (curtain/foreground characters, Constitution lettering, founding fathers) and then combining them and doing the color treatment in Painter on my desktop computer.

A few more of the Llewellyn Witches Companion Interiors, which I’ve been doing on the iPad, at a relaxed pace over the past few months (as I work on other book projects concurrently). One more in this set to go, and I should have some more samples from other projects to post in the near future.

More Llewellyn Witches Companion Interiors. Since I had such a long lead time on these, I’ve been spacing them out to one finish per week (while I work on other book projects in the meantime). Been making a transition to doing work on the iPad using Procreate (but it still involves a certain amount of prep-work in Corel Painter, and finish work in Photoshop at this point). Things have been picking up around here after a very slow summer and fall, with a few magazine assignments over the next few weeks, plus additional book projects.
