Who Was Series #5

Penguin
The Ides of March.
From “Who Was Julius Caesar?”, 2014

I’m currently working on my 24th & 25th “Who Was” titles, so I’m sharing samples from the previous books in an ongoing series over the next few weeks. As I mentioned in the previous post, I did several books in 2014 in rapid succession, so it is hard to pinpoint which order they got completed. “Who Was Julius Caesar?” was the next one, done almost concurrently with “Who Was Isaac Newton?” and “What Was the Lewis & Clark Expedition?” (more on that title next). Here are my personal favorites from that book, and if you are interesting in seeing all the illustrations from that title here is a link to a previous blog post, and here is a link to purchase the book from Amazon.

Who Was Series #4

Penguin
Inspired by the falling apple.
From “Who Was Sir Isaac Newton?”, 2014

I’m currently working on my 24th & 25th “Who Was” titles, so I’m sharing samples from each of the books in an ongoing series over the next two weeks. After #3, the next three books came in rapid succession, so it is hard to say which was #4 precisely. “Who Was Sir Isaac Newton?” was done in early 2014, and these were my personal favorites from this book. If you wish to see all the illustrations from this book, here is a link to a previous post, and here is the link to purchase the book from Amazon.

I’m currently working on my 24th & 25th “Who Was” titles, so I’m sharing samples from each of the books in an ongoing series over the next few weeks. The third book I worked on, in 2013 was “Where Is The Panama Canal?”, and these were my personal favorites from this book. If you wish to see all the illustrations from this book, here is a link to a previous post, and here is the link to purchase the book from Amazon.

I’m currently working on my 24th & 25th ‘Who Was’ titles, so I’m sharing samples from each of the books in an ongoing series over the next few weeks. The second book I worked on, in 2013 was “Who Were the Wright Brothers?”, and these are my personal favorites from this book (actually my third assignment for this series, but that’s a story for another day). If you wish to see all the illustrations from this book, here is a link to a previous post and here is the link to purchase the book from Amazon.

Who Was Series #1

Penguin
‘Pa’ entertains the family around the campfire.
From “Who Was Laura Ingalls Wilder?” 2013

Since I’m currently working on my 24th & 25th ‘Who Was’ books, and won’t have any samples to post for a while, I thought I’d share sample illustrations from each of the books in an ongoing series over the next few weeks. The first book I worked on, in 2013, was “Who Was Laura Ingalls Wilder”, and these are three of my personal favorites from this book. If you wish to see all the illustrations from this book, here is a link to a previous post and here is the link to purchase the book from Amazon.
