Home Stretch

AHMM, Delaware Today, Today Media

And here we are at the final month of the year. A couple jobs from the final week of November, above is a caricature of Brent Musburger for Main Line Today Magazine (a new client, affiliated with the Delaware Today organization), and below is another fiction piece for Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine (one of my oldest clients, my first assignment from them was in 1989).

And speaking of Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine; I’ve been doing illustrations for this publication since 1989, and I am looking for back issues from the years 1989-1998 in which my artwork has appeared. If you happen to have copies in your attic gathering dust, drop me an email, and I’d be happy to make an offer on them.

In other news, I decided to sign up for a page in the 2017 edition of the Directory of Illustration. The postcards I’ve been sending out haven’t been doing as well at drumming up new business as they have in the past, business has been slowing down considerably, and so I’m taking a chance on a new use for my advertising dollars. Along with the page in the upcoming annual (which I have yet to design, or choose art for), the deal comes with a portfolio page on their site, which I’ve just started to fill with samples. Here’s the link to my portfolio page. I’ll keep you all posted on how this works out. (supposedly, I’ve posted a RSS link to my blog here as well, but I’m not entirely sure I know what I’m doing with that, so we’ll see what happens with that)

Busy Spell Continued

Red thread

Continuing to burn the candle at both ends this week. Aside from a daily quota of illustrations for an upcoming book project, I also am managing to squeeze in regular short deadline assignments. The illustration above was a cover illustration on ‘fantasy football leagues’ for Red Thread magazine. (click on the image to see a larger version)
Pictured below, is a quickie logo illustration for a friend’s tee shirt design company, for a theatrical production of ‘A Christmas Story’. Now back to work…
