This is the drawing style I am most associated with. I started out in 1989 working in traditional scratchboard medium (drawing with a knife on scratchboard and adding color with watercolor dyes), and this was the style that was easiest to convert (and look basically the same) when I went digital in 1998. A very flexible medium that works equally well for serious or comic subject matter, loose and graphic or tight and controlled, black and white or color. I’ve been experimenting more recently with adding color to the black and white lines to give even more flexibility to the style.
