Some work for a new client today, and continuing work on the recipe book project. More to come tomorrow.
It’s nice to be busy again. It’s been so long that I’ve almost forgotten what it feels like to work nearly a full day, all week long. Been working on the latest batch of illustrations for the fantasy inspired recipe book (above and below), plus I’ve got an assignment this week from a new client (actually an AD I’ve worked with before for another client, but who has moved on), for which I’ll be posting some examples of later in the week.
Also, this afternoon, I had some rough sketches to do for an Alfred Hitchcock story. The sketch is below, and I’ll be posting the finish next week before the holiday break. It’s a fun little story about a pair of women who build crime scene miniatures for forensic clients, who solve a mystery in the process of building their scale model.
Back to work on the Fantasy inspired Recipe Book that’s been percolating over the past several months. I’ll have a few more to share next week, but in the meantime, here’s a few samples.
Here’s a few projects I’ve been working on recently. Above is a size comparison illustration of various creatures from the Harry Potter universe for a new client, Topix Media (I’m also working on a recipe book for the same client, different designer). Below is an earlier version of the illustration before I was asked to eliminate the background measurements, and change the relative sizes of a few of the beasties and eliminate the overlaps. I only include the unpublished version because I was kind of fond of how it turned out.
I also had a few spot illustrations (and the usual drop caps and dingbats) for GreenPrints this week, and they are pictured below.
